would you believe it, the Centronics plug on the USB-to-parallel lead i bought won't fit on the damn printer...

so at this point, it has to be the T510 that drives the printer. (fortunately Amazon are really good at returns, so getting my money back should be straightforward) which means sticking with NetBSD, realistically

(mind, if DOSEMU ever got ported to NetBSD-i386, then i might just get the best of both worlds)

I have an olde networked 10 Mbit Ethernet print server with a traditional parallel port that I can use with my equally old Epson LQ-100. The print server is by HP and the printer is Epson — and yet they somehow work fine together 🤪
Maybe you can find something like this too.

@m0xee there are two things i really don't want to spend any more of than i have to on this - time and money. and i've alreadty spent far more of the first than i expected
