I do it this way because it makes elogind register the session — it handles when it's idle and puts system to sleep according to the way it's configured.
It's one of the few things I use to handle power management — the other one being my own battery charge indicator that forcefully puts system to sleep if it goes below a certain threshold. No need to have an extra thing running for that 🤷
@m0xee that'd make sense, except i'm not running elogind... and this thin client only uses 9W when it's kicking its heels, so sleeping isn't a massive priority
