Apparently, Apple has easened up even further to complying with foreign governments' requirements. In Russia they didn't hand over the keys to the kingdom like they did in China (yet😏), but they seem to be removing VPN software from local App Store quite willingly — without putting up any fight at all: https://www.techradar.com/pro/vpn/apple-keeps-removing-vpn-apps-in-russia-and-the-toll-is-worse-than-we-thought

Yeah, I agree — but that is the whole point, they don't have so much at stake in Russia as they do in China and yet they play along with these demands 🤷
@m0xee russia can't shut down every iphone factory in one hour with a phone call. you seem to forget that apple is more dependent on china than any other organization anywhere, including usa
