Gasp. Hubby (without telling me) bought a tee shirt saying "In My MOUTH" from the website of Peter Poppleton. He's a big fan and - like so many others - keeps saying "in my mouth". That mystified me until I watched some of the videos, and I'm still not a fan - but he is very popular.

As I suspected, this rebounded on him when he was in the local pub, as two men who didn't understand the Peter Poppleton reference took the saying the wrong way as in gay sex, and started mocking him. I am so glad he didn't start a fight.

Something like this happened to me once: like many, I have all sorts of t-shirts from all around the world with flags of different countries and their names — tourist memorabilia. One day I have to return some equipment to the other side of Moscow — it's a fine day, I'm intending to use public transportation, I put just a random t-shirt on.

I start feeling awkward as people are looking at me in a suspicious manner — and suddenly I realise, there was this big soccer championship (I'm not into it) held in Russia, that evening was supposed to be a match Russia vs Egypt, and I — a Russian, am wearing an Egypt t-shirt — that felt weird 😱
