Trump himself is a Libertarian, Republican Trump is a lie, a cartoon character to appease the Bible belt.
It says a lot that he managed to infiltrate the Libertarian party enough to even get on that stage honestly.
But I'm happy with the response. US Libertarians I meet tend to just be Nazis in disguise. An actual Libertarian wouldn't appease a Republican politician.

Libertarians in Hayek's sense (so-called classic liberals) won't support GOP of course, but they've made a way so you can pretend you're one of the cool kids ("libertarian and shit") and still support GOP and came up with a name for it — paleolibertarian. LP in the United states indeed got taken over by this kind not that long ago.
