@AngharadHafod tbh, this is one area where the “it’s political correctness gorn maaaad” crowd are probably broadly supportive of the change. Not being able to parse labels like “plant-based”, and then being annoyed that they’ve been somehow tricked into eating healthier food is very Brexity kind of behaviour. I know people who are annoyed that vegan sausage rolls even exist.

As much as I have certain dislike for labelling like "vegan meat" or "vegan mozzarella" — clearly they aren't that, I still don't see how branding that explicitly says "not milk" or "not butter" (mentioned in the article) could be confusing to anyone 🤷
