Well, they have discounts for digital stuff too, sometimes very attractive. But I agree with you, there should be choice.
I'm done with MS after pre-ordering Halo Wars 2 Super Deluxe Edition, with season pass of course, and them releasing a DLC for it that I wasn't eligible for almost straight away. They can only fuck with me once like this 😁
It wasn't that bad, I got a copy of original Halo Wars with it that works on Windows PC too, but it just shows the shitty attitude.
an extreme example is literally $125 dollarydoos for the new horizon game on ps5 digital vs picking it up on ebay for $45 plus maybe $10 shipping
the one single advantage consoles have over PCs is the second hand games market, why throw that away? Microsoft have been trying to kill it since the xboner, so far they haven't managed it but this is one more step in that direction
