1/ The Union of Soldiers' Widows of Russia claims that compensation payments for husbands killed in Ukraine are providing an "economic salvation for the Russian countryside". It praises the economic benefits of the "soldiers' coffins" provided by the state. ⬇️
2/ The group is fanatically pro-Putin and pro-war. A recent post on its Telegram channel condemns the upcoming Russian presidential election as too costly and says: "Putin is more than a president. [He is] a tsar, emperor. Russia doesn't need elections. Russia needs Putin."

if there were 'real' elections #Putin would NOT be re-elected
These channels stink heavily of Russian propaganda manipulation
aimed at preparing Russian citizens for a state without more elections.

Even winning completely staged elections starts looking problematic. Usually the strategy was ignoring the debates with "opponents" who were supposed to look all talk and quitely doing something minor, but positive and always staying on the news. …too paranoid for that and bringing icons to his generals tens of kilometers from where the battle is can't impress anybody.
And he's even run out of dummy opponents — no one cares about the usual old and tired faces, everyone who's been on the news in the recent months are related to the military — but he doesn't trust any of them 🤷
