this news story i'm watching is talking about a productivity dip in the US.

but we're talking +/- 5% differences here. why so zoomed in on the numbers?

alternatively, offices being closed for 1 day due to bad weather would give that kind of reaction on a quarterly basis...

Probably no going to lose a dollar as they save on utilities bill when office remains closed, but employees remain working from home paying for utilities themselves.
One of the theories is that management wants everyone back in the office as working from home makes them feel themselves useless garbage that contributes nothing — and often it is the case šŸ˜‚

@m0xee @thor the only solid theory I've heard is that land value is dropping rapidly due to being underutilized, and since land is one of the big investments businesses make they're basically losing money on their investments
