At some point during our childhood we all experienced losing a beloved character, be it from a book, TV series or cartoon.
My 9yo daughter just had a 30 minutes-long meltdown after watching the 46th episode of Yatterman because Yatter-Wan was severely damaged in the previous episode and was rebuilt differently as Yatter-King. She was inconsolable.

@gabrielesvelto I was once so upset about losing a pet dragon in NetHack that I did the single thing you should never do in a perma-death game — restored a backed up saved game.
So I can totally relate 😅
@m0xee hah, we'd never admit it but we've all done that at some point. I probably still have a copy of some A.D.O.M. save game tucked on the hard-drive of my Amiga
