@useless_idiot No, I think people are free to have any beliefs, but we live in a secular society, major streets of the city sholdn't be blocked like that for people to pray and there are muslims who are perfectly fine with that and well integrated into modern society.
If all those people were Christians, I'd probably not be happy about it either.

In Moscow it's probably higher than in Russia overall as migrants usually come from Central Asia and they are mostly Muslims and the come mostly to major cities where they can make money quickly, not to rural areas.

No, but they probably crack down on all groups that aren't already infiltrated and controlled and that would include migrants, the guy they have officially responsible for communication with Muslim population is out of touch — not some influental figure in these circles and never was and they are probably trying to change that as overall paranoia increases.
