@solidsanek @anarchosynthism@mastodon.social When Blizzard added such a system with their "battle tags" I told them that they can take their games and shove them up their arse 😅
I'm okay with IDs that look like a random string of digits if it's not visible anywhere, but when it's the name I don't want anything to get appended to it randomly. I want to have at least some control over that, especially if they charge you for a name change.
