An Earth Day Special in Defense of Climate Science and CO2

β€’ Phil Jones and the CRU entirely ignored the data from all but 121 stations

β€’ After being suspended for a few months, a UK review panel absolved Jones from his transgressions and re-installed him into his old position of carbon data gatekeeper at the CRU.

β€’ The research team found that global green leaf area has increased by 5 percent since the early 2000s, an area equivalent to all of the Amazon rainforests

@PawelK nah..

Earth Day co-founder killed, composted girlfriend

Although Einhorn was only the master of ceremonies at the first Earth Day event, he maintains that Earth Day was his idea and that he's responsible for launching it. Understandably, Earth Day's organizers have distanced themselves from his name, citing Gaylord Nelson, an environmental activist and former Wisconsin governor and U.S. senator who died in 2005, as Earth Day's official founder and organizer.

Interesting. This movie is totally unknown in Poland, and I would guess wider in Europe too.

Poland often actsed historically, as a window through which American popculture was passed into rest of our continent.

FFS, I have just discovered that the movie I have though all my life Soylent Green is… Is in fact Logan's Run. And I have never watched real Soylent Green πŸ˜‚
How could that happen? 🀣

@m0xee @Foneguy89

Soylent green'd plot description from wikipedia kicks ass.

Damn, now I will need to check logan's run too.

To confuse everyone, the meanings of movie titles in local languages have next to nothing in common with meanings of titles in original version.

@PawelK @Foneguy89 I think I have discovered Logan's Run just looking for other movies with someone from the cast (most probably Jenny Agutter) and I have considered that this is what Soylent Green is since then. I don't even know why β€” aside from the dystopian setting they have next to nothing in common.

@PawelK Sexmission, yes! I don't remember it too well, but now that I think about it, you're right, they do!
