Too much abstraction is a true plague. I made a script that shows a scrolling line of text on my monome — just some currency exchange rates, but then I started to think about how I could add more modes to it, make it interactive, use it to show graphs, or information from other sources like weather or COVID hospitalization rates, with as few requests as possible, so it would update less frequently during night time or weekends.

Classes of course, lots of them. That inherit from other classes. It got so complex that I just gave up without implementing things that would be easy to implement. Like "Come on this thing is just sitting on top of cabinet in my home",— I said to myself: "Stop handling all the corner cases, they do not exist, no one is going to use this thing other than you!", but no… 🤣
