No offense to the sausage soup, I did like the final result, but it did look like you were trying to get something out of the ingredients you've had (and you were). Today's lunch looks like something planned in advance — that's it.

@m0xee i'm not joking when i say that such sausage soups are common in Norway. if you google pølsesuppe, you get plenty of recipes for it.

also, i *always* cook around what ingredients i bought, and not the other way around. i have tried the other way around and i just end up wasting a lot of food.

@m0xee most of the cooking channels i follow on YouTube seem to take a similar approach. instead of focusing on recipes, they focus on stocking your kitchen with various base ingredients and using cooking techniques to improvise foods around that, so you don't need recipes.
