@gemlog Understandable! It's not everyone's cup of tea and hardly the most accessible music ever recorded, for me discovering this album was a coincidence, I went to Sony store to get a couple of CDs, I got Pearl Jam's Binaural which just came out and Bitches Brew. I was interested in improvisation at the time and this album just hit a sweet spot. But that era is considered controversial in his career because of that drastic change, even some of the old fans didn't like new sound.

@gemlog I think it takes time to grow on you. I'm fond of that period so I have all these records on CDs except for In a Silent Way and I listen to it a lot — once I was putting a CD in like I often do and a friend of mine told me: "WTF, man, not Miles Davis again! Let's listen to something more… easy on the ears!". I come to her place a few months later to get my keyboard stand and I find her listenin to Bitches Brew, she even used John McLaughlin from that album for alarm clock🤣
