@gemlog I agree, when it's well done, you just let the technical details go and enjoy the story or the visuals/sound or appreciate attention to details. When I listened to Miles Davis' Bitches Brew for the first time I couldn't understand a thing about how it was done, it was just too complex to comprehend, but it still did sound beautiful. I've learned quite a lot about music in general and about this album in particular — that feeling is long gone, but I still enjoy it immensely!
