My #Dell XPS 15 I think has an internal fault in its battery after about a week of no use the battery becomes dead. So I can either replace the battery or I could potentially ask work for basically any new laptop within reason.

I'm siding more on getting a replacement that is more #Linux compatible and is less like an ultrabook. I could actually ask them to get a refurbished #thinkpad provided that it isn't falling apart (broken computer means downtime).

What computer should I get. My requirements are no higher than 1080p screen, no gloss, trackpoint, no dedicated graphics, lots of ports, rugged, very good battery life, easily serviceable.

Am considering T X, Latitude, and HP Probook lines. Let me know your recommendations.

@splitshockvirus BTW if HP is a viable alternative to you and you are fine with AMD, maybe this?

I don't have any personal experience with it, but looks nice. Comes with 16 Gbs, but is upgradable to 64, supports fast NVMe SSDs and is built for Linux, it even comes with PopOS. Built-in display looks good enough on paper, I'm not sure if it can drive three eternal ones though.
