Twitter were fools to screw over 3rd party app developers!
Not only do users now know Twitter removed API access, they now know that these app developers are making Mastodon clients.
For example, due to this "service disruption", Tapbots is now advertising Ivory for Mastodon.

I wonder why Nitter still works. I haven't updated my instance and it still works as expected. Well, maybe it uses API keys of official Twitter app.

@m0xee @atomicpoet Nitter uses the website, which is always available (and is deliberately impossible to use on a mobile device, by design). You can also still used advanced search syntax when querying via Nitter, and Twitter has turned off that functionality. As well as deleting being able to view "latest" or real-time feeds of what's going on.
The reason Latest was turned off? Because it's where you can see the Russians/Chinese/Iranians/Saudis flooding Twitter, in real-time, with #COVID #disinformation
Since the Russians/Chinese/Iranians/Saudis are clearly still paying Elno the red muppet Manchurian Qovidiot fifth columnist for Putin & Xi plague rat to let them do this, they've obviously now paid Elno for the privilege of letting them actively hid the fact that they are doing this, and that "Trending" is little more than bought Chinese/Russian/Iranian/Saudi propaganda, designed to make the plague spread farther and faster in "the west" and cause onward mutations.
Nitter uses an "unofficial" API, according to the description on their site.
