I think it might have worked with .torrent-file as data is downloaded from peers anyway, but if it's a magnet link it knows nothing about data and has nowhere to download the metadata from 🤷

I found a magnet link on yandex too, its some weird APE format. I've had mine for years and its hard to find anywhere in mp3.

APE is fine — it's Monkey Audio lossless codec, rarely used nowadays, but you can convert it to anything and keep the original quality.
