Max/MSP — a visual language for Digital Signal Processing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_(software)
It's mostly used for working with audio — making synths, filters/FX. It's tightly integrated with popular music production software Ableton Live, although it comes as a separate component. There is a library facilitating working with video, but I've never dived into that.
