I will probably end up using Energizer Ultimate Lithiums in my peripherals.
yeah they're expensive, but imagine not needing to replace the battery in your gaming mouse for a whole year. hell that's probably the whole life of the mouse!

@Jessica
I use them in my less power hungry (i.e. a remote) or less used electronics, due to lithium not posing the leakage risk that alkaline does

@easthighNerd yeah and it will probably last multiple years too
for more power hungry devices, amazon high capacity would be better, even though battery life is poorer, you don't waste the money with buying new batteries, and depending on the load it might last longer
amazon's batteries need to be made in japan though, since those are the good ones, basically whitelabel eneloop
also idea ladda's are all eneloops

Sounds good in theory. I've bought lithium batteries to use in the remote control for my CD player and amp. Worked well till I had a birthday party and someone put it under a book so one of the buttons remained pressed till the batteries died 😩
I could have got five sets of regular batteries for the price of lithium ones, or a set of rechargeable batteries. Long term planning didn't work quite as planned πŸ˜…
