@thor gamers actually do this to reduce weight of their mouse
@m0xee @thor actually no, wired mice have cable drag which isn't good. and wireless is so good that it doesn't matter what you use. just have to make sure to put the dongle close to the mouse

@Jessica
Cable is not a problem if it's braided, I've always had Razer mice until recently and didn't even realise it's a big deal, but it is!
My last wireless "gaming" mouse was Razer Lancehead and it was the worst mouse I've ever had — it was so bad that after over 15 years of using Razer peripherals I've sworn to never get anything from them again. Maybe things improved since then, but it was just horrible!
It was a half-joke anyway, not meant to start this wired vs wireless holywar😅
@thor

@m0xee @thor yeah problem with gaming mice is that they usually are pretty sensitive to stuff like that. the cheap razer deathadder they sell, even though the scroll wheel is garbage, the cable is pretty good.
I also like having my wireless mouse because I can mix and match cables if they're rechargable, right now I use a magnetic charger as my mouse cable because it has the perfect noodley un-stiffness that a mouse cord should have
@m0xee @thor I don't know how razer's wireless is, but I've been using corsair wireless mouse and other than needing icue for some things, it's a very solid mouse, I haven't had many disconnection issues, I will note however, if you're using it on a desktop, you do need an extender, as effective wireless range is only a few feet line of sight.
also did you hear Microsoft made a gaming mouse, it's called Intellimouse Pro. they added RGB underglow in a tasteful way as a remnant of their laser intellimice that had a red glow for the red light from the sensor, very cool.
it's basically the same mouse but modernized so if you liked the original, the new one shouldn't be that far off.

@Jessica
Wow, this looks nice, I should give it a try!
I was thinking about getting Intellimouse Classic, it was about the same price as Ergonomic Mouse and it's where Razer drew inspiration from for the original Deathadder, so, familiar shape, but I've decided to try something new and got the Ergonomic Mouse.
I didn't know about Intellimouse Pro, now I think I know what my next mouse is going to be, thanks for the tip!
@thor

@m0xee @thor the intellimouse pro is the same shape as the classic, the pro just has a gaming sensor and gaming-oriented features.
@m0xee @thor I also heard the intellimouse classic isn't thst good for precise movements
