@thor Yep, that's exactly how pity works: putting the one you express it for beneath you. It's also very exploitable by manipulative persons, so I think pity is bad.
For me this also won't work, I think we are very alike in our outlook.
But for some — it might. Not pity, but telling them nothing's wrong with them and everything is alright. Just to stop them wallowing in their dark thoughts.
