Oh, this can go terribly wrong, they can stop servicing some stations if those don't generate enough profits. While privatising can make anything more efficient in terms of profit, some people don't realize it's not always in their best interest, they seem to believe private investment is always good, even if the one you invest in goes to the casino with that money 🤷
@thor Here in Russia some people can't leave their settlement anymore, they have the railway, but the trains don't stop there. They can only use the bus that comes in once a week. There was a terrible scandal in the media, I'm not sure anything was done about it in the end.
