@Pixificial Of course. FSE runs Slackware, and this is an embarrassment to the Debian people.
@Pixificial On a VM hosted on a CRUX server I put together myself and hand delivered to the datacenter. My sweat is in this machine.

(Literally. That thing runs hot when it's under load.)
@p This is the first ever time I hear about CRUX outside my own findings and searches, from a person I am interacting with. Well, this singlehandedly proves FSE is in good hands, keep up the good work!
@p Just realised you said F, not C. That's only 35°C! There is little to no harm to a CPU if the temperature is below ~70. I am sure you know that already, so what am I missing?
@Pixificial

Inlet temperature. The air *entering* the machine to cool the CPUs is 95°F. The CPUs themselves ([23]-[26] in the image I posted) are 163°F-172°F, and one of them peaked at 190°F.

Wow, that is pretty hot!
Does the datacenter operate at room temperature. I mean, they've got to have some air conditioning, right? 🤔
@Pixificial

@m0xee @Pixificial Last time the DC was this hot, they said they had blown an HVAC. Maybe this year they've got stuff turned down due to power costs.
