(again if i remember correctly)
basically it allows you to skip the bootloader and go right into your system.
this skips the probing for other OSs and doesn't display a menu for you to select a kernel/OS.
if you only have 1 installation and are on a UEFI system this will allow you to boot faster. #🤔
