Newsletter: The crypto industry spent the spring buying primaries, an octagon at the White House, and — they hope — a market-structure bill by the Fourth of July.
So, if folks are using git-pages to deploy their static websites (e.g. via the *new* Codeberg Pages) and are building with the Woodpecker CI, I made this small plugin for pushing the build pages out:

This one made me laugh out loud, and the secret panel adds to it.

90% utilization is causing more failure than you realize, not just in burn-out, but in productivity and output.

The Obama Presidential Center likely made it easier for Trump to justify his own presidential center, which raises red flags "because of the greater control Trump may have over his records than his predecessors," FPF's Lauren Harper writes in MS NOW.

If you can’t tax billionaires and trillionaire because “its unrealized gains until they cash out,” then stop letting them leverage that wealth for loans, as collateral, or as equity.
If it’s not real enough to tax, it shouldn’t be real enough to leverage.
This is why we say the system is rigged in favor of the super wealthy. Abolish billionaires, tax them out of existence, protect working people.
“Why game developers don't want to use generative AI | GamesRadar+”

> Perhaps pro-AI developers didn't want to talk to me or I just didn't run into any during my survey, because I heard an overwhelmingly negative assessment of generative AI's origins, capabilities, and risks. By the end, I'd heard dozens of developers make a case against using gen AI at all.
Erlingur Erlingsson, a historian specialising in military history speaking to the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, pointed out that signing US-Iran peace deal in Versailles might have a few unfortunate historical connotations. The other notable peace deal signed there was a bit controversial
There are people out there who are like "surely Claude Code/other LLM agents are fine to simplify tasks, doing everything manually yourself is not virtuous or good" and it's like hello we have had macros and automated scripts for this kind of thing since the 90s, probably earlier. "How am I supposed to edit a ton of config files all at once without AI" the same way people have been doing it since before you were born

We were discussing hiding & disabling preinstalled apps on immutable images at PCM26 and recently with the @postmarketOS #duranium folks.
We now have some bits that allow to hide those (and other) applications. There's plenty of more work needed for different app types (e.g. we can do better for webapps) so help here is appreciated.
Why would the EU get behind W Social, a European social media platform that barely exists, rather than Mastodon, a European social media platform that has been successfully operating for a decade?
Oh, right

Wow. Frontier Airlines has seriously screwed the pooch. Your passport numbers, credit card numbers, identifying your children...
This is Kohen Wiley, the one year old baby killed by a Mississippi police officer earlier today.
Patrol sergeant Hunter Foster shot and killed this innocent child after someone reported his mother stole diapers.
She didn’t steal them. She was the victim of racial profiling.
But even if she had … you don’t shoot people for shoplifting.
Many locals went to protest this senseless murder and the cops tear gassed them.
ACAB.
RIP Kohen Wiley. You deserved so much better.
