I don't understand how anybody could want to live in a hierarchical society.

More AI fuckery: my phone presented me with a photo set called Cool Jerks Concert…which surprised me, as I’ve never seen a band called Cool Jerks.

I have, however, seen Agriculture, at the Black Heart in Camden. My phone, evidently unable to resolve the Black Heart from the Underworld a few dozen meters away, has gone and fetched the name of the band that was playing the Underworld that night, and automatically tagged all my Agriculture photos with that name. In a way which cannot be edited.

In wanting to be “helpful,” Apple’s shonky AI has produced something far worse than no data, which is bad data – a perfect spurious interpolation. Fuck you again, Apple.

Europe’s $24T breakup with Visa & Mastercard has begun. ECB’s Lagarde warns almost all EU card/mobile payments still run on non‑European rails, sending spending data outside the EU. Now EPI + EuroPA are launching Wero, a pan‑EU wallet for 130M users to pay cross‑border without US networks. A huge shift for payment sovereignty—and data privacy.

“There’s no way to put the genie back into the bottle,” say AI boosters about a product that the industry is spending more than a trillion dollars a year to keep out of the bottle.

A few days ago, OpenStreetMap hit 180 million changesets with this one: openstreetmap.org/changeset/18
Great milestone, but even better to see that it's a contribution linked to the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team ("HOT"), by a new but prolific contributor adding lots of data in #Uganda.

Never too late to get started with filling the gaps and updating existing data on OSM, you could start with this tutorial: learnosm.org/en/beginner/start

Investing in green innovation now could prevent declines in agriculture and tourism as customers seek low-emissions products and services.

Stupid enough to be on is stupid enough to believe you can opt out of data collection.

I think maybe the only holiday that online leftish people absolutely do have a War On is AFD. They don't even wanna rename it to Serious People Day or anything. It's just universally loathed! (And I do not disagree with Mr. McFadden, here.)

10 years of news about the same demented guy isn't good for the news business. I've known he sucks the whole time and only skim articles about how much he sucks. We know! I'm not reading 1,000 words about it. Getting someone new in there should be a top priority.

Brands will try to be funny on Wednesday and it's going to be awful.

Was the #Iran War Caused by #AI Psychosis? - houseofsaud.com/iran-war-ai-ps "the most consequential military operation of the twenty-first century may have been shaped less by strategic necessity than by a phenomenon researchers now call AI #sycophancy — the tendency of large language models to tell their users exactly what they want to hear." @jalefkowit @davidgerard @adrianh somehow the consensus I am hearing for Claude Code is simultaneously it is by far the best and most advanced agent for writing code ever and it’s a complete rip off that needs hundreds of dollars a month to approach adequate limits which are constantly being reduced arbitrarily
