@lightweight Electronic Frontiers Australia. When I pointed out how using Google Docs was directly contradictory the principles of EFA and suggested we maybe use a wiki I was told that it was just easier to use Google docs. I just lost respect for the organisation and had to withdraw.

@lightweight I have dedicated a great deal of time over the last year learning more about two important social technologies that build better democratic practicies - Sociocracy 3.0 and Nonviolent Communication. (it was you mention of Sociocracy 3.0 that got me started down that path, Dave.) Both are needs centric and non-adversarilial. Both support the needs of all and are inclusive of different pov's. One intriguing ideal comming out of sociocracy is "Bottomocracy".

I think there should be a far greater societal expectation of civic action/responsibility from business leaders.

What a disgrace the "nonprofit" College Board has made of itself -- "strips down" the Advanced Placement program in African American Studies to satisfy racist critics. (AP courses are a BILLION-dollar revenue item for this outfit...)
