When it finally clicked for me, in college, that the Federal Reserve acts to maintain unemployment, I was livid. Glad to see this reprehinsible fact finally getting some play.

THIS STORY IS NOT TRUE
"we have been telling ourselves a simple story about the origins of social inequality. For most of their history, humans lived in tiny egalitarian bands of hunter-gatherers. Then came farming, which brought with it private property, & then the rise of cities & the emergence of civilization properly speaking. Civilization meant many bad things… but also made possible written literature, science, philosophy, & most other great human achievements." eurozine.com/change-course-hum

Some TechRights wisdom:
"Summary: The solution is to file more antitrust complaints, not simply accept Microsoft’s abuses which are disguised as "security"; but Microsoft bribes Canonical to play along and push Ubuntu as “WSL”, so who’s going to file such complaints?"

Seems to me that many of the most angry people in the world are frustrated and feeling disempowered because they don't understand the difference between anecdote and statistical relevance.

#NextCloud CEO and founder Frank Karlitschek was approached by a #Microsoft lawyer earlier this year to make a deal.

In the meeting, the Microsoft correspondent offered benefits in the form of collaboration and marketing to Nextcloud. For example, they wanted to promote the Nextcloud logo in Microsoft marketing material – if Nextcloud would consider dropping its anti-trust complaint.

I think the main barrier to implementing a better corporate model is publicly traded corporations are guided by the premis - often incoded in law - that their one duty is to return value in $ to the shareholders. Any other objective a corporation may have is not significant. The big lie beneath this is "if it is profitable, it must be good"
This needs to change. A quadruple bottom line approach does not stand a chance.Rent seeking return on investment leads to distopia
