The decline in union membership has been less marked in Nordic countries than elsewhere. Here are three reasons why.
A new article "Three things we can learn from the Nordic trade unions" on Mutual Interest, a free online newspaper #coop owned by the readers and writers.

I think you have to be a certain type of personality to see value in scrum. #agile is broad enough to have mass appeal, even if you know how tainted is the Agile Manifesto by 'code is king' thinking. When you wrap agile in process, it becomes decidedly less agile, and scrum is one of the heaviest processes I've encountered. (Yes, that does include CMM.)
Of course, there's always a difference between process and 'process in company <x>', but scrum seems like agile meets Taylorism.
Work instituted a policy of using 3/4 of our PTO by Sept 30. The claimed justification was to avoid having everyone take time off at the same time after COVID-19 passes.
I've been in software 30+ years, usually at big corporations. This policy is meant to reduce cash liabilities for coming layoffs in Q4 (following Q1 layoffs earlier this year). #FTFY
