I have spent some time today pondering about genAI policies and Free software projects.

My position is "no genAI, thanks". I have examined my own thinking, and my conclusion remains the same.

The federal government has declared open season on journalists’ data in its hunt for confidential sources.

Good for LinkedIn for pushing back. But if the government forces it to disclose any data that could link journalists and the sources, it will undoubtedly chill public interest reporting that holds government accountable.
