This is shameful discriminatory and misogynistic reporting.

People aren’t choosing disability to be “cool”.

Young women don’t have to “prove” to you that they’re sick.

Disability rates are skyrocketing because we’ve left a disabling virus rip through the population for over 6 years.

The insinuation that disabled women who post about their experiences are “entrenching a culture of economic activity” is ableism.

They want to shame us into being silent about our suffering.

Make noise.

Let’s tell the Telegraph this disgusting article should be retracted

I learned today that POSIX specifies a tool designed to assist you in reviewing & modifying LLM-generated code. In typical Unix fashion, they shortened "reviewing & modifying" to just two letters:

$ rm code.rs

It even has command-line options to [r]ecursively [f]ix whole directories of LLM-generated code:

$ rm -rf project/

I didn't come to the Fediverse to hear your entitled opinion of what the Fediverse is for, so I guess we're even.

I am shopping around for attorneys to sue a couple businesses over their use of AI and automated voice customer service.

Due to my Parkinson's Plus, MSA, I have speech issues and over this past month, at multiple businesses, I haven't been able to get past their AI customer service loop to speak to a human because the AI can't understand me.

I even made an #ADA request for a human worker to the AI prompt.

I am going to sue to try to force their AI to understand an ADA prompt, or offer one, to bypass the AI/voice only customer support and directly connect to a human. #AI

One issue is, I talk slow and deliberate because I have to get the words out and some phrases are slower than others and AI customer support is too impatient to wait and moves on mid-sentence, not understanding my request

Huge congratulations to the US-based Wikimedia Foundation employees who voted with 92% support in favor of unionizing, and shoutout to the tireless work of the organizers.

“DHH Nazism Funded by 1Password VP Who Wrote “Honest Security” | flyingpenguin”

flyingpenguin.com/dhh-nazism-f

It's certainly starting to look like much of tech is run or financed by Nazis and Nazi sympathisers. As in, out and out "will to power" fascists

This one will hurt: I love 1Password as a product. But I'm the son of a concentration camp survivor. I will not give money to companies that align themselves with nationalism, and certainly not ethnic cleansing. Completely disappointing, @1password. flyingpenguin.com/dhh-nazism-f

“It’s not a sustainable intellectual take.”

Emily Galvin Almanza notes the contradiction: Conduct treated as sexual misconduct outside prison is normalized when guards force incarcerated women to strip and undergo searches.

After 8 years, Europe’s BepiColombo mission is on final approach to Mercury - arstechnica.com/space/2026/09/ "what makes this mission really unique is that for the first time in space exploration, we are bringing two spacecraft to the vicinity of the planet, and we are going to put them in orbit around this mysterious body." #space

If you're worried about the elections-

There's actually a lot we can do keep them on track?

One of the best things you can do is sign up to be a poll worker!

They train you, AND it's paid work!

🤮

People are getting doxxed and murdered and EFF is more worried about their tech stack.

the AI is on the cusp of AGI except when the topic is all the moral issues around enslaving a sentient being and doubt that an AI god is even possible, then the goal was never AGI at all and you’re silly for thinking that’s still a thing

the AI is a transformative tool that creates unique output when the topic is copyright, but if you evaluate the AI’s output and find that it just blatantly copied something from its training set (Servo, SuperTuxKart, gcc, clang, there’s so many examples when you look), then the AI was never capable of transforming anything and you were silly to think it was

the AI is very good at logic, except that if you feed it a mild, original variation of a logic puzzle it fucks it up entirely in a way that instantly reveals it’s only regurgitating answers from its training data. and this is such a problem for the AI corps that they’ll scrape your variation into their training data too and make very certain the AI outputs the right answer, so it looks like they fixed the AI until you try another variation on the same puzzle.

the AI can finally spell strawberry! specifically. with a really long, weirdly angry answer. because they special cased it in the latest model, and it’s literally just outputting a rant from some anthropic asshole.

@davidgerard yeah, being a friendly face for big tech makes them bad guy PR, and I say that from being inside their sausage making machine many times and smelling the spoilage.

Weev (reddit.com/user/weev_is_a_nazi/)

Alex Stamos (Facebook, need I say more)

their list of horrible humans goes on and on.

I try to write up what I can but it always seems like their self-promotion is so good nobody has grasped who they really are and why it's so bad for tech. John Stewart maybe did the best takedown yet.

Having no documentation for a thing is better than incorrect documentation presenting itself as authoritative.

This is a post about AI.

the AI was a grandmaster chess player until it being horrible at chess became a meme

the AI is an incredible mathematician in countless breathless papers but every time you ask it a basic math question it fucks it up badly

the AI is just a tool until you refuse to use it, then it’s a revolution and we can’t afford to be left behind and using it is required

the AI is an incredible boon to open source, as it fractures communities and generates unsalvageably bad code in quantities so massive it can’t realistically be cleaned up

the AI will set you free, but your access to it is gated by a gigantic corporation that’s losing money at every realistic price point they can charge for the thing

the AI is loved by most people until you look at literally any of the polls we’ve done asking people what they think of AI

“The age-gating of history – Hi, I'm Heather Burns”

heatherburns.tech/2026/09/05/t

> Enter the pearl-clutching brigade, who have deemed real history to be “age inappropriate” content so shocking that it requires age and identity verification to view.

So, take a look around you right? Take a look at what AI is and does. Take a look at billionaire nazis from one family buying up 3/4 of the media in your society. Take a look at the marriage between tech bro fascists in a literal cult, and fundamentalist Christian nationalist in American life and politics.

This is not "idiots are running amok."

They are breaking shit on purpose because it's part of a plan - for city states and emperors, for a boot stamping a face forever.
