Crikey, just nailed the 'family photo gallery in a frame' functionality for my mum (with failing memory, in an assisted living situation) across the world. Can control it from here in Aotearoa (via screen share or ssh) with the extraordinarily handy 'RaspberryPi Connect' functionality. The key technologies are:

Brilliant - we need more of this thinking getting out there. Save the middle class, as Gary S would say, “tax wealth, not work”.

I especially like, “Welfare often compensates for the company not paying enough to workers so it can pay more to investors.” And would add that it is quickly passed from recipients to landlords!

We (AoNZ) need to end the beneficiary bashing rhetoric to move forward. Our child poverty and health stats depend on radical change being made.
