@dajbelshaw I've had a change of heart. I no longer think the "tech vegan" label is appropriate. I'm the tech equivalent of "I only buy what's (certified) fairly traded". All the other options are exploitative malware from ransomware producers, who're only considered legit because they pwn the regulators of these things (e.g. the US government). Being called a "vegan" suggest to the mainstream that I miss out. I don't don't. I eat far better than those who use the digital colonials' tools.

People who want to punish the average Russian for the attack on the Ukraine are suckers. People really need to understand that the people who started the war are a very small subset of the people in the country, and that the people who caused the war come from subsets of many other countries.

The outrage guage always seems to depend upon how much the average citizen of attacked country looks like you.
