It is an undeniable fact that Charlie Kirk “spewed hate and racism on his show.” That was his brand. Apparently a Secret Service employee has been suspended for saying so.

That is very different from celebrating his murder. Is this distinction too subtle for the NY Times?

We need to be able to condemn his murder without celebrating his life.

I like being a lowbie for a while so I feel emotionally comfortable saying one reason I feel sad and mad but also quite sad is cuz I feel tricked by my ownself to think a company would ever say "actually it is the bad actor report swams who should be banned not the largely trans, disabled, Black & brown outspoken leftists dedicated to destroying fascism at its very root who should be banned" I feel naive and in times like this, naive feels dangerous

@criminalerin @kims I keep begging people not to move to Bluesky and skylight as TT kind of ends (or should. Jfc), and people need to migrate somewhere. No one will consider the fediverse and it’s so frustrating. Bluesky has censored posts about Gaza and now this. Why move to a place that’s already employing the things we’re trying to get away from?!
