The backend did count correctly to 19369, so Forgejo does better a better job than GitHub in that aspect.

Wow, citing phonetics as a reason to keep books with Māori words in them away from beginner readers... makes me wonder what evidence National & the Minister of Education are citing... because, of course, English pronunciation varies absurdly because it's a conglomeration of a dozen languages, all of which have different phonetics. The variability in English is substantially greater than in te reo Māori. Maybe we should teach the latter first.
