The US has so deeply embedded itself in every global system. Banking, finance, telecommunications, shipping and air traffic, regulations on every industry, everything.

Its abrupt collapse would devastate just about everyone in some way.

Which doesn’t mean that it’s good or that we should keep it around to prevent harm! It’s just that I wasn’t expecting Elon Musk to potentially blow up the whole thing within a few weeks of Trump’s inauguration.
