I'm in a long distance relationship with someone in the UK. We mostly use Facebook messenger for video calls because weirdly it seems to be the most stable most of the time.

I'm trying to think of alternatives to stay in contact if (?when) AI breaks the internet... I can see messenger being one of the first things to go, because Meta keeps shoving AI into everything and basically seems to have a very "hands off" approach when it comes to repairing issues.

I'm not a tech type of person.. so building my own *thing* isn't an option.

Suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
