When I went from chiefly doing manual labor, to mainly doing "knowledge work," I realized that there are a lot of very lazy people in professional rolls - which explains the popularity of LLMs, I think.

@GuerillaOntologist I've always thought it was due to the vast number of incompetant people.

@lwriemen hard to tell the difference sometimes...if, in fact, there is one (one could argue that incompetence is a form of, or result of, laziness, for instance...or vice versa).

@lwriemen regardless, one thing is for certain, it's way easier to get away with being lazy and/or incompetent at a desk job than it is in the building trades.
