Is it me or is it possible that the Overton Window has been pushed open to include democratic (progressive) socialism in the US? I sure hope so. Because the Capitalist (neoliberal) alternative sure ain't workin'.
@lwriemen perhaps that Republican presence is not long for that state. Note - NYC is a lot of the population of the state, but the rest of the state is rural, uneducated, religious, and (unsurprisingly) conservative.
