I have terrible news everyone, I've reached a point in my marketing study where it looks like deliberately trying to become a thought leader is possibly compulsory in the marketing metagame.

I'm as horrified as the rest of you. I suspect it might not be possible to communicate common sense to many leadership teams if you do not pretend to be Very Important.

Please tell me someone else has arrived at a different conclusion.
