@GuerillaOntologist I was just talking to a friend last night, who is a medical transcriptionist. Whatever company she works through is replacing them with "AI". The physicians would have to pay out of pocket to keep a human transcriptionist. She mentioned how speech recognition was already being used, but it required editing. With all the ESL medical professionals entering the field and hard-to-pronounce drug names, there's surely nothing to worry about.

@lwriemen Oh no 😱 I use a paid audio transcription service regularly and they absolutely must be proofread. I'm just transcribing interviews about co-ops, not people's medical diagnoses - how is it that I care more about accuracy than a medical transcription company?
