I've just realized that all arbitrarily large communities now contain some percentage of people that really dislike me, and I can't decide if this is great or terrible.

@phil Do you think they will ever notice that I've quietly upvoted every mean thing said about me

@ludicity @phil Classic unstable toxic behavior from their ephemeral Internet villain du jour.

@DarthAloha @phil My favourite thing about the "only five years" experience comments is that like, about 90% of the time they're clearly worse than me, and 10% of the time it's some ultra-genius that just fucking owns me along every dimension, and I gamble every time I check out of pettiness.

@ludicity @DarthAloha @phil honestly I remember looking a bit askance at a post after seeing the five years' experience thing (I have either 10 or 17 depending on how you count _and this is not a flex_), but in the end seeing all the bullshit for what it is _and quickly_ must only be applauded

@autonomousapps @DarthAloha @phil Yeah, I get it. Five years is like, just-exited-junior territory in other industries, basically.

It probably also helps that I read the right books and had a bunch of prior experience from studying psychology. Academic psychology is the ultimate domain to refine bullshit detectors. I think something like 80% of the social psychology I was taught has since failed to replicate.

Since there's no measurement, software development can't be a math-based science, so maybe it's a psychology-based science. All these delusional people thinking they are artists and craftsmen instead of engineers.
