I've been taking a break from work for the last few weeks, so missed much of the brouhaha over the McKinsey developer productivity article. But I'm sure that I could not write a better response than this one from @tastapod
@mfowler@tastapod I find it concerning that neither the original article or the response mentions function point analysis and the reams of data collected in that pursuit. Surely one of the authors has come across Capers Jones' writings before.
