:TwinPines: This interview by @ntnsndr is kind of wild. You don't have 2 do much reading between the lines 2 see that this project had some big issues from the jump. And the difference between the worker's attitude (we're scared for the future) & the lawyer's attitude (we're proud of what we accomplished) demonstrates pretty well one of my big problems w/ #WorkerCoop development - the real risk is all on the workers, not the developers who come out fine no matter what.

And while the title of the piece is "Winding Down a Cooperative With Care," the worker being interviewed doesn't seem to feel particularly cared for. Does this sound like she feels cared for?

"It's hard. It's stressful. I'm overwhelmed. I'm scared. I do my best to reassure my team that we'll be okay and that they're doing great amid the chaos. The truth is, I don't know if we'll be okay, and no matter how hard we work I sometimes worry it won't be enough."

@GuerillaOntologist She also didn't sound like a worker-owner, which makes me wonder about the dynamic of owning the holding company. What did the workers get out of that?

@lwriemen It sounds like the whole project was problematic on a number of levels, tbh. We need a much more thorough examination of what happened here (and not just from Wiener, who sounds like he's reading PR copy).
