Seeing the topic, mansplaining, again, I have to attempt to say, "Before you accuse a man of mansplaining, first make sure he is not an engineer." Many examples of mansplaining have reminded me of that certain type of person at my engineering job, who always assumes they are talking to a person of lessor knowledge; gender doesn't matter. Therefore sometimes "mansplaining" is "engineersplaining".
Like the line from the Fear song goes, "I am an engineer; you're doing that all wrong."
