My wife, a lecturer at a public tertiary institution, is working from home today. Just heard her tell a colleague that the biggest complaint from their current cohort is about the use of "One Note" (which I believe is a Microsoft product, always marketed as 'user friendly') for the course. It offends me deeply that any publicly funded institution could require learners to use Microsoft tools for their studies.

@lightweight OneNote is every bit as horrible as SharePoint from a user perspective.

I hope Nextcloud's SharePoint alternative has a better UI design. One thing I've always disliked about LibreOffice is how much it emulates the MS Office products. Of course, my first exposure to office tools came before MS Office, so I got to see a better world.

Actually OpenOffice (whose Libreoffice is a fork) predates MS Office.
