@lightweight @kzimmermann CF;DR, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens. On the one hand, the linux copyright holders (Torvalds et al, S/w Conservatory or whoever holds rights) has courtroom phobia. They are deadbeats when it comes to protecting legal interests of the FOSS community. On the other hand, they were apparently motivated to go after Cisco for the same thing (hence why #openwrt exists).
@koherecoWatchdog @kzimmermann well...Linux Foundation is pretty much owned by big tech (with a strong Microsoft influence). TechRights has good articles detailing this. However, they aren't the only ones able to sue over FOSS infringements.
